A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

When I am not making art: I play music in a band called The American Hotel System, I’m a barista, I am a big reader, enjoy watching movies and tv, spend time building relationships; all alongside my lovely wife.

2. Why do you make art?

Art reminds me of the importance of returning to childlike wonder. And the act of creating art is like being a kid again, letting your instinctual imagination guide you and enjoying the ride for no other reason than to simply do it for the joy of it.

3. What inspires you?

People above all else. Unique in all of our beautiful intricacies. Nature, specifically vast expanses of nature untouched by man. Music, emotion.

4. What/who are your influences?

I have always loved Dali, my dad was a fan as well. Cezanne, Johnny Depp, Pierce Brosnan, Picasso, Klimt. Also, music is huge for me.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

Someone who has passed on: Prince. Someone who is still here: Jeff Goldblum.
