A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I take care of others. I’m a nurse for money and a mom the rest of the time.

2. Why do you make art?

It’s freeing. It’s me and the paint, grappling with whatever sensations and thoughts are pulsing through my mind and body. It’s one of the only things that I do just for me.

3. What inspires you?

Color, the geometry of the chaos around us and in nature, the paint and surface being painted. My travels. My origins. My feelings.

4. What/who are your influences?

Those who dare…also Van Gogh, Robert Hudson, Vladimir Kush, and Georgia O’Keeffe to name a few…and The Mars Volta, At the Drive In or Joe McPhee.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

My dad. I have questions.
