1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I am lucky enough to call art my gig! I am a mom (and current distance learning assistant) by day, artist and art instructor by night!

2. Why do you make art?

I could write for days about this, but in a nutshell, art helps me deal with anxiety and depression. It is my personal therapy and release from the craziness of the world around me.

3. What inspires you?

Everything inspires me... colors, shapes, nature, my family. You name it, I have probably been inspired in one way or another by it.

4. What/who are your influences?

My grandfather was probably my biggest influence in terms of art. He was an amazing artist, although he never tried to sell his work or even share it with anyone other than family.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

There are so many, but if I absolutely had to choose, I'd say Mary Cassatt. I was introduced to her work in a high school art class and it really spoke to me. Her story is inspiring as well... Never giving up her passion despite obstacles put in her way.
