A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I am the Director of User Services at the University of Richmond (I manage the computer help desk.) Drink beer with my neighbors and play golf.

2. Why do you make art?

I have always been a creative person, is in my nature. For me there is not a why do I do it, it is more of a reaction to life.

3. What inspires you?

Colors. I am not a dark or foreboding artist. Most of my works are bright and colorful. I don’t use black when painting.

4. What/who are your influences?

Matisse, Rembrandt, Warhol, Mondrian, Van Gogh, and de Kooning.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?
