“Pamela’s work is a visual dialogue between a newfound discovery and a long-held passion. This piece was born from my first encounter with New Orleans, a city that vibrates with unique chromatic energy. She found herself captivated by its layers-the weathered patinas of the French Quarter, the neon glow of late-night jazz, and the deep, soulful greens of the Garden District. I have translated those specific hues onto the canvas. Woven into this atmospheric palette is the presence of Liguria. Pamela has grown these in her own garden for years, admiring them for their architectural strength. They are sturdy, and demand to be seen. By placing the bold form of the Liguria within the colors of New Orleans. Pamela exploring the bridge between the thrill of the ‘first time” and the grounded, beauty of home.”
