The Trauma Project is a multifaceted art experience that combines the paintings of @custom.steppers with the music of West Michigan artists. Through visual and auditory storytelling, the journey through personal and collective trauma is explored, dismantled, and celebrated—seeking to end the taboo surrounding mental health in our communities.

Most American communities lack access to sufficient mental health resources. These gaps exacerbate across the demographic makeup of America, creating different ideas and processes for dealing with trauma. At the AllArtWorks Foundation, we believe in the healing power of art for the individual and for communities—creating an increased quality of life through art. The Trauma Project is a bold (and successful) attempt to address these gaps and manifest healing and growth through art.
