A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST
1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).
I am a gardener and also do landscape design and maintenance. I live in the country off the grid, and there is always something to do.
2. Why do you make art?
Art is my passion and feeds my soul, and without it, my life would be mundane.
3. What inspires you?
The creative process and self-expression inspire me.
4. What/who are your influences?
I borrow from all the art movements throughout time; the bold, colorful forms of the classics, the impressionist's color theories, and the self-expression and color as an emotion from the expressionist. I love the art of many artists in the past to the present.
5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?
Van Gogh! His unique self-expression, perseverance, and pure love and joy for his art remind me of what is vital as an artist.
