A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

When I'm not making art I paint other things. I'm a surface designer and finisher at my day job.

2. Why do you make art?

Making art is how I interpret and commune with the world. Art cultivates joy and freedom.

3. What inspires you?

I see color and composition in everything. Most of my work is nature inspired, compelled by internal chatter, and jazz fueled.

4. What/who are your influences?

I think my work is influenced by every artist whose work has ever moved me in some way. I recently viewed some Francoise Gilot originals that brought me to tears.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

I'd love to have long conversations with Leonard Cohen, dinner parties with Lee Krasner, and study with Clifford Still. I'd love to hear Chet Baker play live.
