A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

When not making art I curate and work as an art teacher, gallery assistant, and freelance communications and studio consultant.

2. Why do you make art?

I make art because I can't imagine not making it. I create to explore unknowns, experiment with materials, and communicate with viewers. My work explores how we confront unknowns and define forms.

3. What inspires you?

I am inspired by many things, including dark matter, outer space, shadows, the night sky, and found materials.

4. What/who are your influences?

My influences include space photography, scientific illustrations, Franz Kline, Lee Krasner, Dorothea Rockburne, and countless other artists.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

Eva Hesse.
