A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

When I am not painting I am with my family, visiting museums, reading, cooking, taking an exercise class or comparing ideas with other artists.

2. Why do you make art?

Why make art. What else is there! My constant need from my senses to make some visual work will never go away.

3. What inspires you?

I get excited about the patina on an old piece of furniture or a weathered wall. When I see a wonderful face I want to ask if the person would model for me.

4. What/who are your influences?

I am inspired by the works of Rodin, Joan Mitchell, Leonardo, Richter and all the paintings in the Pompidou.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

I want to paint with Gerhard Richter tomorrow in Cologne, Germany!
