A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I am a mother, wife, daughter, and a friend. I am always trying to connect with the world, as I feel that benefits my artwork!

2. Why do you make art?

I create because I have no other choice. I love to do it, ever since I was young. It's a gnawing feeling when I get inspired and I have to do something about it right away.

3. What inspires you?

I get inspired pretty easily, especially when I'm in solitude with my thoughts.

4. What/who are your influences?

I can name like a hundred but I'll save you the reading. Blakely Berring, Mary Jean Runke (a local San Antonian artist), and of course I love looking at old art and art from The Masters.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

I would love to meet my mom's dad, he sounds like quite a wonderful person. I'd also love to meet Maurizio Cattelan, since he seems very funny.
