A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I am a full time Interior Design student at Kendall College of Art & Design. My husband and I enjoy traveling, exploring downtown GR, and being with our dog.

2. Why do you make art?

Art is a form of communication to me. It helps me process difficult and complex emotions. I can get lost while creating art; it calms me.

3. What inspires you?

I am inspired by my surroundings, specifically shapes and forms created by nature. In addition to my surroundings, new and bold color combinations fuel my creativity.

4. What/who are your influences?

I am influenced by everything around me - good or bad, people or places, etc. I try to hang onto the positive and take that into my work.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

Yayoi Kusama.
