A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I work from home for a large filter manufacturer. I know, very exciting…

2. Why do you make art?

I started making art as a preteen to the encouragement and support of my parents. I quickly realized that it was my best emotional outlet as a disgruntled teen. Now, as a busy adult and mom of four, it remains my best emotional outlet.

3. What inspires you?

I am inspired by my life’s trials, tribulations and emotional obstacles. I tend to create art that is symbolic to me and my family.

4. What/who are your influences?

My influences are, Francis Bacon (for his raw portrayal of emotion and circumstance), Salvador Dali (for his use of symbolism in a collage like format), and Georgia O'Keeffe (for her ability to super focus on one detail and make it super graphic and unrecognizable).

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

I have always been a great fan of the author Stephen King as he is a prolific artist in his detailed imagery of the very real horror that humans can possess.
