A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I teach abstract workshops and create art when I can.

2. Why do you make art?

I mostly paint for the creative process and therapy. Not knowing what the outcome of the painting is, makes it exciting for me.

3. What inspires you?

Architecture, nature, color, and creating visual movement in the painting.

4. What/who are your influences?

Local artists/instructors Mary Lynn Rouleau, Bert Verbrugge, and Julie Quinn. Also my grandpa was an artist where I remember smelling the linseed oil in his house every visit.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

So many to choose from... Any astronaut that walked on the moon. Detroit Tigers announcer Ernie Harwell.
