A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I work for a company called Square Roots. We farm hydroponic basil, cilantro, dill, parsley, and micro greens inside of modified shipping containers. It's basically indoor farming.

2. Why do you make art?

Making art for me is my peace. It's the one thing where I feel I can truly be myself and express any thought or emotion that I have. Sharing that with others and getting a reaction is priceless and I feel it connects me and the viewer in a personal yet non personal way.

3. What inspires you?

Cacti and plants in general are huge inspirations for me. The crazy and unsymmetrical way Cacti grow intrigues me. I also am inspired by folk music and western culture / landscapes.

4. What/who are your influences?

I would say Salvador Dali, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Mark Maggiori in that order.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

Salvador Dali for the dead one and Mark Maggiori for alive.
